Welcome Xander

Xander Kai Reiter-Belcher was born on December 10th 2009 at 1045 a.m. His wt was 8.7 pounds and 21 inches long. Head circ. was 14.5. His Apgar scores were 9 and 9 and that was after 30 hours of labor six of which she was at a 10 and complete, but the Doctor tended to another family whose baby became stressed right when we were going to start pushing. We understand and was told the baby was fine, but of course it was nerve racking waiting to push when the baby's head was already crowning. The first thing we noticed was he had dark hair. A bit of a surprise, but it may still lighten up. If not Cyndi loves dark hair. Obviously eye color is to soon to know for sure, but we are hoping for blue eyes. Sorry it took awhile to get pics updated hopefully you will be able to catch up.

Thank you to all our friends, and family for the loving support. Please just let us know if you would like to come meet our new little one. We don't take him out much but you are always welcome to our home if you are in the area.

We feel forever blessed. Still a bit stressed, but FOREVER BLESSED.
Our family is one step closer to being complete. Xander one day will to be a big brother.

First Dr. Apt getting PKU and Bili checked. He was not very happy.
The trip and cute outfit for the Doctor. His first ride out.

Sponge baths still. Waiting on my umbilical cord to fall off. Mom's can't wait to give me a real bath and watch me kick and play in the water.

He is saying hey mom how about coming and giving me a big smoochy right her on these perty lips.

Watch out, Grandma Martin has got her hands on her youngest grandchild. We need to get a stamp for his forehead that says spoiled. She love babies so much and the love just went beyond measuring capabilities. He is all hers in her eyes. She is so amazing with him.

Updates of our baby boy Xander the ruler of our home.

we are getting ready to meet our baby boy, our little star. I am so excited, i just did jumping jacks over and over and paced the floor.
Joe hanging out with mama Cyndi, She adores him and he does her. One last alone picture togther. He has been our baby for almost 17 years. Now is sharing the reigns and doing so with such a sweet spirit. We are so proud of Joe. He will make an awesome big brother. WE could never do it without him.

I think a hint of a smile here. Maybe it is a Oh poop I am really really scared smile. She is so beautiful, even after 36 hours with no sleep, and just sitting here dialated to a 10 and complete. Waiting 6hours for the Dr. She was sweet throughout the entire process. I just love her so much. She is really honestly my true idol.

Welcome baby Xander Kai Reiter Belcher. We are so excited to meet you. Mommy Cyndi pushed you out in 5 pushes. She did amazing, but I am sure you helped her alot. The nurse in your room, your own personal nurse was Michelle, she is a friend of mine. She thought you were pretty darn cute.

The three of us just learning each other right after the cord was cut. (yeah I got to cut it). Our family is almost complete. We now have our three boys and we will be finishing it up sometime next year. Maybe a girl for the fourth? I will be happy with four boys. But in the mean time we have Mr. Xander to focus on for a bit. He is such a blessing that seems to come into our life at very special perfect timing. God does things like this for a reason I believe.

We are heading out in 3.5 hours.

Well it is 630 p.m., we have to wait for 3.5 more hours to call for our 11p.m. admit. Just thought I would say thank you to everyone, and will update as soon as we can. We are both just full of nervousness, and anticipation. Pray we get some sleep tonight, not really sure what to expect. Hopefully our next entry baby X will participate in and say his first hello.

Can't believe it is finally time, I am so emotional all the time not just tonight, but I already am full of happy tears and they are barely staying inside right now. I am going to cry like a baby.

Okay I could talk the next three hours, but I have lot's to do.

Thanks again.

Chantelle, Cyndi, Joe, and soon baby X.

Surprise/Welcomed Visit.

We just found out 2 days ago that Cyndi's mom will be coming in from Oklahoma for the birth of the baby. Both mom's will be in the room to see their new Grandchild born. We are thrilled for the support and am sure the Grandma's can offer good advice that will be needed.
Okay this is probably my last entry prior to the announcement of our dear new baby boy. I am so excited I could scream and dance.

Thank you everyone for the gifts, support, phone calls, dinners. We are so lucky to have family and friends that are so wonderful to us.

Pray for us, and hopefully I will be posting a quick birth announcement on 12-9-09.

Hugs to all.

38 weeks joint maternity pics. (probably the last ones until baby)

Everyone knows me as a short hair spiky kinda blond/brown hair person. While the pregnancy has progressed I have grown out my hair. Thought I should share some pictures of what I really look like these days. I am so grateful to have Cyndi and baby X in my life. I will cherish these pictures for eternity.

35-36 week Maternity pictures.

My beautiful wife. I am so darn lucky.

I hope she looks this excited in labor. She is so silly and because I am so serious, it makes me love her ten times more.

Okay no belly here, but OMgosh, she is so beautiful I just have to share.

She has been a champ. The last couple weeks have been a bit of a challenge for her. She is starting to get just a little uncomfortable. We are about 60 hours away from our hospital admission.

My last day home alone, I thought I would try and update some pictures. Blogging is just one of those things if you don't keep up on, you don't know where to begin.

Friday, December 4, 2009

Just a quick note. I have many pictures to update. We are scheduled for an induction on Tuesday, December 8th at 11 PM for a birth hopefully during our OBGYN's 12 hour shift on Wednesday 7a-7p. We will update pictures when things calm down. It has been so busy. I am not sure if they have Internet at BEMC but I will update what we can via cell phone or Internet. We are so excited to meet Mr. X. Scared for labor and scared to be the perfect mom's but we will do our best. So we only have 5 or less days until we meet our little perfect angle.
Sorry we have been slow at updating, I have been trying to make Cyndi have a comfortable last month. Doing my jobs and hers. She still is very active, but Mr. X keeps her a little uncomfortable.
If he is born in the middle of the night I will not send out notifications until morning. My guess is about a 2-6pm birth on the 9th. Only time will tell.
Please say a prayer for us that Cyndi will do well during labor and that we will have the confidence to care for our new son.
Thanks for every one's support.

We are so very excited and promise to update all the old pictures. Please pray he is healthy and Cyndi is healthy. I am just really scared right now.

Hugs
Cyndi and Chantelle

Jake back to MCRD

So Jake had his ten day leave and got back into civilian living very quickly. He has since flown back to complete more training in San Diego. He did not want to go back, which is so hard for me as his mom. I just think signing up for a 5 year contract and never really doing it before signing sucks. He wishes he would of gone in the guard. I know after school that will change, but for now it pulls on my heart. At least in the last two days I have gotten a couple text messages which did not happen at all in his first 13 weeks.
Cyndi is 33weeks and 5days. We have an OBGYN appt tomorrow. Cyndi is sick, I sure hope she starts feeling better. It is scary since my mom had H1N1 and Cyndi is at high risk. We did try for the most part to keep them away from each other, however they are like two peas in a pod. They say you marry someone like your mom and boy did I ever. They even look a like.
Cyndi is still pressing the limits with her blood pressure. Today it was 162/92. I just think that is too high. I love her Dr. so I guess I just need to have more faith that she knows what she is doing.
Baby X is doing good, we have broke out the doppler and listened to his very loud heartbeat a few times this week. He kicks from every direction. Sometimes it feels like he is going to bust through her abdominal wall.
Tomorrow we are taking belly pictures, not just the normal ones we put on here, but hopefully some that look nice. How could the not? It is Cynd and she is beautiful and amazing.
All the fears of can I do this are starting to race through my mind. I am so afraid, but excited to meet my baby boy.
We will post more pics as soon as we get them.
I am still amazed that I am so in love with our baby boy and I have never met him.
Have a great day.

33 week belly pictures. *missed 31 and 32 sad*

Cyndi and Pee-wee comparing belly's. Pee-wee has a new diet and is pushing a close first. LOL
WOW baby X is growing leaps and bounds. According to the book he weighs 4 and a half pounds. Her belly is still beautiful. Pushing and outy but not yet. No stretch marks yet. She is gorgeous.

Frontal shot, these almost remind me of mug shots, we get every angle. She is still a good sport. I am amazed every day God gave me such a beautiful wife, inside and out.

"Turn to the side please"

I feel I have some explaining to do. I can only imagine when baby X gets here how busy we will be. I fall behind on the blog more than I stay current. I appreciate everyone who reads all our journal type information.
We had a scare last Sunday at 32 weeks. Cyndi is on modified bed rest related to hypertension. Her Dr. would like to stay medicine free, not me on the other hand. Her blood pressure is too high so she is only able to do the necessary daily living activities. Her work is awesome, and her Dr. still allows her to go since she has no heavy lifting, or strenuous activity. Not now anyway, normally she does. We spent one night in the hospital in OBGYN triage, they said she is having contractions, but none she could feel. Baby X has slowed his movement a bit, but that is because he is becoming cramped. He still moves, gets the hiccups, just no kicking anymore. Cyndi has been a great pregnant mama. She makes it look so easy and I know I would be moaning and stuff already. I am ready for his arrival and I know he still needs another four plus weeks. Cyndi has went from no symptoms of pregnancy to becoming very uncomfortable. This only makes me love and admire her even more.
Again, thanks for reading I will like I always say, try and do better.

DeHaven, Reiter family dinner (ironically at Olive Garden)

My Aunt Marion, cousin Butch and the world's best mother.

My beautiful 33week pregnant wife and our son to be.

Blake and Brook, twin niece and nephew, brother Bill and the rest.

Cyndi, my mom, cousin, Aunt, and Uncle Jim.

Jake has a very large unique family. A little from here, a little from there, in the long run he is just spoiled as spoiled gets. This is my side of the family to include my brother, cousin, Aunt, Uncle, Niece, Nephew, Son, girlfriend and of course my beautiful wife Cyndi and baby.

Jake's Marine Corp Graduation

Our first picture of Jacob. I did not recognize him at first. He looked kinda mean. Little did I know he had a sparkle in his eyes I had never seen.
Joseph (with sun in his eyes) Jake and Step sister McKenna. All the siblings with the exception of baby X which we can not wait to arrive.

Jake and mama Cyndi. Her cute 32 week belly, which by the way we missed belly shots. Darn it. Jake was surprised to see her belly had grown so much.

Brittany, Jake and lil bro Joseph. If you did not notice Joe of course is messing with Brittany's hair or something.

Me and Jake. I had gotten a sunburn so bad that a hat was my only survival method.

Some of these are a little out of order, just the way the computer downloaded. Going to boot camp to pick someone up takes more energy than going to an amusement park. We were sooooo tired by the time things were over. It was so worth it, my only regret is that my mom was unable to attend.

Jake's Marine Corp Graduation

Lunch at Olive Garden. Thank you Cyndi again for taking pictures, I wish you were in them. Family consist of myself, Joe, his step-sister, step-mom, Grandma, Aunt Jenny, and Aunt Amee, girlfriend Brittany, and his dad. He had an empty pit for a stomach, not sure where he put all the food. Not to mention the 270 cookies Grandma Martin made for him that he snacked on for two days.
Jake and Brittany ahead, he could not carry his C-bag which weighed about 60 or so pounds, Cyndi is pregnant, so guess what, yup his wimpy mom carried it almost a mile. Sore legs the next day. However the true struggle was getting it in the trunk.

FINALLY, AT REST, HE COULD LEAVE AND GO HOME.

Jake is about the second from the right. He made the only HONOR platoon. However look at those DI's. No phone calls home, lots of screaming and Jake was in trouble a lot. They look so mean and only 23 years old. The one with the black belt was his lead DI and had earned a purple heart and almost died. I thought I was mean, I guess they took the cake on that one.

All the new Marines getting ready to graduate. It was so cool to hear them march and move. The DI's even had songs they sang to the whole left, right, left thing. During graduation, two Marines passed out. They grabbed them underneath their arms and drug their heels until they were to the side. It was so sad. We were not allowed to go on the tarmac and help. Very tough as a nurse. Just glad Jake stayed up. I was so scared.

This was the final day of graduation. Knowing we could take him home was so comforting. Knowing we had a 7 hour drive home with more luggage than we had room for was not so comforting. The trip was much better going home, it went faster. No radio, just Jake's sweet voice with all his stories of what he did and learned. We are so proud of him.
